Top 10 MWC Conference Games in 2013

[1] Fresno State at San Jose State (November 29, 2013)(2013 Heisman Trophy showdown between Fresno State QB Derek Carr and SJSU QB David Fales)

[2] Boise State at Utah State (October 12, 2013)(Opportunity for Utah State to get a statement win in their first year in the MWC)

[3] Boise State at San Diego State (November 23, 2013)(Re-match of great upset.  Last season, SDSU produced a 21-19 upset win in Boise.)

[4] Wyoming at San Jose State (October 26, 2013)(Opportunity for Wyoming QB Brett Smith to establish himself as a 2014 Heisman Trophy contender by outperforming SJSU QB David Fales who is a 2013 Heisman Trophy contender)

[5] Fresno State at Wyoming (November 9, 2013)(Opportunity for Wyoming QB Brett Smith to establish himself as a 2014 Heisman Trophy contender by outperforming Fresno State QB Derek Carr who is a 2013 Heisman Trophy contender)

[6] UNLV at Nevada (October 26, 2013)(Nevada QB Cody Fajardo and company may put UNLV Head Coach Bobby Hauck in the unemployment line by the end of the game.  That’s a profound rivalry statement!)

[7] Fresno State at Hawai’i (September 28, 2013)(Opportunity for Hawai’i to prove that last season was a fluke.  Or, was last season not a fluke?  Is Hawai’i now a lower tier program?)

[8] Hawai’i at Wyoming (November 23, 2013)(Hawai’i will be traveling more than 3,000 miles, playing at an elevation more than 7,000 feet higher than home, and probably playing in a temperature that is 70 degrees colder than home.  This game could get embarrassing for Hawai’i if their 2013 team is a repeat of their 2012 team.  Wyoming Head Coach Howdy Doody may run up the score to save his gig.)

[9] UNLV at New Mexico (September 28, 2013)(Early opportunity for New Mexico to show that they are continuing to make progress with their epic rebuilding project)

[10] Wyoming at Air Force (September 21, 2013)(Howdy Doody Bowl.  Pre-game and post-game confrontations between coaches should make good material for smack wars.)

FYI: 2013 Pre-Season Report Cards

In June, I will begin publishing 2013 Pre-Season Report Cards for all Mountain West Conference football teams.  I will publish the report cards in parts as I complete each part.  Some parts will be delayed for some teams until a recent depth chart is released.

Meanwhile, I will publish other posts (charts, etc.) if I have available time.  Also, I will keep the twitter feed active with tweets to recent news articles.
